Vice President for Public Safety
Josh Bornstein oversees all public safety functions across the university, fostering a unified, community-oriented approach to ensure the safety and security of our campus community. He leads Georgetown’s police, public safety, public health, environmental health & safety, threat assessment, and emergency management teams across the university.
Prior to joining Georgetown, he served as the Chief Security Officer at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where he oversaw FEMA’s physical security, personnel security, fraud prevention and investigation, counterintelligence, and threat management programs for its employees and facilities.
