Committed to protecting the Georgetown University community, while maintaining regulatory compliance with applicable standards and guidelines. 

International Safety & Security

Monitors the world for events that may impact Georgetown travelers and programs and works closely with on-campus and other partners to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our community overseas.

Emergency Management

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) coordinates University-wide efforts to prepare for, prevent, mitigate, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters.

Threat Assessment

Georgetown’s threat assessment program includes campus-specific teams and is overseen by the university’s director of threat assessment, Marisa Randazzo, Ph.D
