Escort Services, SafeRides and the Shuttle
Escort Services
The SafeRides escort service enables students to request an individual ride to or from campus and any location in the Burleith or West Georgetown areas by calling 202-784-RIDE (7433). Individual escorts are available Sunday through Wednesday from 8pm-2am and until 3am Thursday through Saturday.
The boundaries for these escort services are Whitehaven Parkway and W Street to the north, Prospect St. to the south, Foxhall and Reservoir roads to the west, and Wisconsin Avenue to the east.
Neighborhood Shuttle
A SafeRides Shuttle operates during the academic year to and from the main gates of campus (37th and O Streets) in two continuous loops through Burleith or West Georgetown from 10pm-3am Thursday through Saturday. The Shuttles will run on Sunday evening until 2am on the following holiday weekends: Labor Day, Columbus Day, MLK Day, and President's Day. It will also run on Monday evening, January 19, 2009 until 2a for Inauguration Day.
