Identification Cards (GOCards)

The GOCard is a single, common, and recognizable identification card for people who are affiliated with Georgetown University.  The GOCard is also a debit card that will allow you to use your personal debit account for purchases on and around campus.

GOCard also serves as your access card.  You should carry your GOCard at all times to access libraries, GUTS, secure buildings for which you have access privileges, and for events that may be restricted to members of the University community only.

Undergraduate students living on campus use GOCard to access residence halls and to authorize passage at residence hall security desks.  All undergraduates, whether living on or off campus, may visit friends in the residence halls from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. by swiping your GOCard at the residence hall entrance and security desk.  From 10:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m., non-residents must be signed in by a resident.

If you lose your GOCard learn how to deactivate it and where it may go if it is found.
